Albarola Colli di Luni, Cantine Lunae 2018, Liguria, Italy

Nestled on the Ligurian/Tuscan border, near the remains of the ancient Roman city of Luni, this estate has been making huge strides in quality wine production, and is well regarded as one of the best of the best in the region. Paolo Bosoni, who took the helm in 1966, and his family work only with indigenous grape varieties local to the region, such as Albarola.

The influence of the Mediterranean is strongly felt in this wine, with a marine saltiness and bracing aromatics. The Albarola grape often has a spicy and herbal character, which shines through here as the wines are aged entirely in stainless steel.
