Daniele started his sommelier journey in his native Milan, at hospitality school and then at the famous Al Pont de Ferr restaurant. He moved to London in 2015 to further develop and learn, and has gone from strength to strength. Daniele spent three years at Jason Atherton’s 1* City Social restaurant, working his way up to Assistant Head Sommelier, and passing the first two Court of Master Sommelier exams with flying colours.
He moved to Clos Maggiore and spent two years there as Head Sommelier, during which time he was the youngest ever sommelier to make the Drinks Business ‘Top 10 Most Powerful Sommeliers in London’ list. Daniele is now at Petrus by Gordon Ramsay, a restaurant that he loves due to the exceptional modern French cuisine and impressive wine list (with several vintages of the top top Chateau Petrus!).
