Dolcetto D'Alba, Bruno Giacosca 2018, Piedmont, Italy

One of the finest estates in Piedmont, if not the world, Bruno Giacosa joined his family’s estate at the tender age of 15, as third generation winemaker. His daughter Bruna now runs the estate, and continues to use the traditional techniques of her ancestors, while also utilising the best of modern technology.

From select vineyards in the villages of Neive, Neviglie, Treiso and Alba, this Dolcetto is grown on Southeast facing sites on incredibly unique calcareous marl soils. The wine is fermented in stainless steel to preserve freshness, and then left to refine in steel for seven months before bottling.
