Donald Edwards, Head Sommelier at Michelin-Starred La Trompette in London

Donald Edwards is from Berkshire, and initially studied Computer Science before catching the wine bug. He switched to a degree in viticulture at Plumpton College - the UK’s leading winemaking and wine business education programme. On moving to London, Donald opened Peckham Bazaar, creating “one of the most extraordinary wine lists I have come across in the capital” - according to Jancis Robinson.

Donald ran the wine lists at Temper, Brunswick House and St Leonards, before becoming Head Sommelier at La Trompette. In his spare time, Donald is a keen cook, and loves to find the perfect wine and food pairing. He has also done a spot of winemaking, making a delicious small batch dry Tokaji in Hungary under the label BSE Wines.
