José Antonio García began this project in 2010. After training and working in the restoration industry in Barcelona, he decided to recover the old family vineyards and start to produce wines, with features that were loyal to the terroir and the varieties.
José Antonio García's family has 22 hectares of old vineyards, between 80 and 120 years old, divided into 75 plots.
Aires de Vendimia Godello is a wine made from godello from their own vineyards, which were planted more than 120 years ago on clay soils with loam-sandy areas. They are located between 500 and 600 metres of altitude. The fruit is gently pressed into a 600 litters oak barrel and one egg, where it is left to ferment and undergo malolactic fermentation. It is racked once prior to 14 months ageing. The result is a wine of exceptional complexity depth and balance. The nose has fresh rhubarb, custard and white peach and floral chamomile notes, the palate is saline, lean and racy, evolving as it finishes with a watercolour impression of the aromatics lingering for an age.
